Baku, July 16 — The Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a visit to Victory Park in Baku today, in a gesture underscoring the deepening ties between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

According to information provided by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ashgabat, an honor guard was assembled at the park to welcome the distinguished guest. Chairman Berdimuhamedov laid a wreath at the Victory Monument, paying tribute to the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs and the nation’s historic triumph in the Patriotic War.
