Brussels / Istanbul – October 2025
Organized by hub.brussels, the Brussels Agency for Business Support, the Turkey–Belgium Economic Mission took place from 20 to 23 October 2025 in Istanbul, Eskişehir, and Emirdağ.
The initiative aimed to strengthen economic, cultural, and entrepreneurial relations between Belgium and Türkiye while opening new perspectives for investment and bilateral cooperation.
Among the most prominent members of the Brussels delegation was Kadir Duran, a well-known businessman and influential Belgian-Turkish media figure, who stood out for his expertise, professional network, and international vision.
As the founder of Tax Man Bruxelles and co-director of the media platform Bruxelles Korner, Duran embodies the enduring link between Brussels and Anatolia.
🇹🇷 Istanbul: Strategic Meetings at the Heart of the Metropolis

The mission began in Istanbul, the economic capital of Türkiye.
Kadir Duran held several high-level meetings, notably with executives from Postacıoğlu and Miran Regal, active in the fields of trade and communication.
The meetings took place in emblematic locations such as the Consulate General of Belgium in Istanbul, the Belgian–Turkish Business Center, and various networking spaces in the Levent and Şişli business districts — key hubs of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Discussions focused on investment opportunities, media partnerships, and the creation of long-term economic and cultural bridges between Brussels and Istanbul.

🏙️ Eskişehir: A Thriving Industrial Crossroads
On the second day, the delegation traveled to Eskişehir, a major industrial and university city in Anatolia.
Welcomed by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the delegation participated in numerous B2B sessions, where Tax Man Bruxelles played a particularly active role.

More than 30 local companies from sectors such as construction, logistics, agri-food, and technology took part in the discussions.
Represented by Yunus Çiftçi, Tax Man Bruxelles actively promoted sustainable collaboration between Belgian and Turkish businesses.
The visit continued in the Organized Industrial Zones (OIZ), where local authorities presented investment opportunities for European enterprises, particularly in sustainable manufacturing and technological innovation.

🏞️ Emirdağ: Shared Roots and a Common Future
The mission concluded in Emirdağ, a symbolic town for the Turkish diaspora in Belgium, where the human and economic ties between the two countries are especially strong.
The program included:
- a protocol visit to the Municipality of Emirdağ,
- meetings with the local Chamber of Commerce,
- and a friendly gathering with Belgian–Turkish entrepreneurs from the region.

These moments of dialogue highlighted the complementarity between Brussels’ economic expertise and Anatolia’s entrepreneurial dynamism, reaffirming the importance of such local engagement initiatives.
🌍 A Bridge Between Brussels and Türkiye
For Kadir Duran, this mission perfectly illustrates the multidimensional potential for cooperation between Belgium and Türkiye:
“Türkiye and Belgium share exceptional potential for collaboration — economic, cultural, and human.
Our goal is to strengthen this bridge between our nations and promote the exchange of talents, ideas, and investments.”
🤝 A Partnership Focused on the Future
This mission, led by hub.brussels, aims to boost Belgian investments in Türkiye while supporting Turkish entrepreneurs in their European expansion.
It is part of a broader dynamic of rapprochement between Brussels and Anatolia, built on mutual trust, innovation, and sustainable economic cooperation.
