Business Diplomat: A Wider Table

Whose voices reach the national agenda? In this part of its interview series, Business Diplomat presents Sherzod Pulatov’s assessment of participation and unity.

First observation: more voices at the table
He argues that civil society, ethnocultural associations, experts and business voices should be able to reach the national agenda. Decisions made with only a few sources of information tend to miss what ordinary people and businesses already know.

Second observation: diversity as an asset
He presents cultural diversity as something that helps a country build ties with foreign markets. A society with many cultural connections already has contacts, languages and understanding across borders. These are practical resources for trade.

The logic of the assessment
Participation and unity are linked in his argument. When groups are heard, they take part, and when they take part, they are more likely to work together. That unity then becomes a strength abroad, because a country that treats its diversity as an asset can speak to many markets.

The role of Business Diplomat
For a platform that aims to give young people experience, bring a diplomatic order to the business world, and benefit states by revitalising the economy, the lesson is direct. Business voices, including young ones, belong in the conversation with decision-makers, and the platform can help them get there.

Conclusion
A wider table produces better decisions and a stronger national image. Diversity is a resource that can be put to work, not a problem that needs managing.
