On August 14th, EUReflect proudly celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels.
This day marks the historic moment in 1947 when Pakistan emerged as an independent nation, following the end of British colonial rule in South Asia. It is a day of remembrance, pride, and unity for Pakistanis around the world, commemorating the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices made for a homeland founded on dignity, freedom, and self-determination.

Brussels was a vibrant and meaningful occasion, bringing together diplomats, community members, and friends of Pakistan to honour its rich cultural heritage and the growing ties between Pakistan and the European Union. Traditional music, cuisine, and cultural displays created a warm and festive atmosphere, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of Pakistani society.
EUReflect was honoured to take part in this important celebration, reaffirming its commitment to fostering mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and cooperation between Europe and Pakistan. Events like these serve as powerful reminders of the value of international friendship and the importance of building bridges across communities and continents.
