Chinese EV giant BYD has expanded its global footprint through major investments in Türkiye and Uzbekistan. In 2024, the company announced a USD 1 billion factory in Manisa, Türkiye — a move that grants tariff-free access to the EU market. Meanwhile, in Uzbekistan, BYD is developing EV and battery production facilities to serve Central Asia, supporting the region’s green transition and industrial modernization.
