Chairman of the Turkmenistan Halk Maslahaty sent a congratulatory letter to Ilham Aliyev

Chairman of the Turkmenistan Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

According to the report, the letter states:

“I sincerely and wholeheartedly congratulate you and, through you, the entire people of Azerbaijan on the unanimous decision adopted at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia regarding ‘the full-fledged participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia’!

Undoubtedly, this event is of historic significance. This decision symbolizes the transformation of Central Asia and Azerbaijan into a single geopolitical and geo-economic space, thereby creating a strong union between our peoples and states based on brotherhood, good neighborliness, equality, and cooperation. It is a major step for our peoples who have rightly understood the inseparability of their historical destinies.

I firmly believe that the decision taken is entirely natural and extremely appropriate, objectively reflecting the development trajectory, needs, and genuine interests of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan.

For centuries, our peoples have been united by geographical proximity, common civilizational roots, culture, traditions, and closeness in spiritual values. Thus, a unique model of relations was formed. Today, this model manifests itself as a powerful factor in the development of current and future continental processes in politics, economy, social, and humanitarian spheres under conditions of independence.

It is destined that Central Asia and Azerbaijan will become the key link in the multifaceted intercontinental connectivity that is indispensable for building a balanced, successful, and sustainable architecture of the modern economy. Your country’s participation in achieving this lofty goal is now supported by a solid political and legal foundation.

Dear Brother!

The format of the Consultative Meetings is the most important platform necessary for peace, security, harmony, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial partnership for all participants. I am proud that Turkmenistan is at the foundation of creating such a form of political cooperation. Our country’s initiative to establish the Consultative Meeting was announced more than fifteen years ago in Uzbekistan and received full support.

The next step was the first official Consultative Meeting held in Kazakhstan, where the ideological foundations of multilateral dialogue were laid, and long-term goals and perspectives were defined.

Subsequently, meetings were systematically held in Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. At these meetings, the most important issues of regional cooperation and the international agenda were discussed in a reliable and open atmosphere, and serious decisions and agreements were reached. Time has shown how correct, necessary, and effective the creation of this format was and how it meets the fundamental interests of all countries.

A new stage in strengthening mutual understanding and the importance of the Consultative Meetings was the establishment of the Central Asian Heads of State Honorary Badge. The first recipient of this badge was the President of Tajikistan.

Dear Ilham Heydar oglu!

I take special pride in the fact that this August, within the framework of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in the “Awaza” National Tourism Zone, our country proposed and hosted an extraordinary Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. It was precisely at this meeting that Turkmenistan put forward the proposal for Azerbaijan to participate as a full-fledged member in the activities of the Consultative Meetings, thereby aiming to further strengthen Azerbaijan’s ties with the family of brotherly peoples and increase its integration in every respect. I am pleased to note that this initiative received full support from the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent and became an extremely important and promising development for our common progress toward prosperity.

I am fully confident that Azerbaijan’s participation in the Consultative Meetings, considering your country’s political authority, vast resources, industrial and technological potential, and achievements in cultural and humanitarian spheres, will be a decisive factor in the comprehensive rapprochement of our countries and peoples; will encourage active participation in regional and international development processes; and will enhance the role of the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan as responsible, solidarity-based partners on the global stage.

Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, we eagerly look forward to seeing you as a valued brother and friend at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, which will be held next year in Turkmenistan.

Once again, please accept my heartfelt congratulations!

I wish you a healthy life and success in your state and international activities, and I wish peace, happiness, prosperity, and development to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan!
