Kyrgyzstan has been included in The New York Times prestigious ranking of the world's best tourist destinations for 2026, Kabar reported.
The Kyrgyz outlet noted that Kyrgyzstan's Tien Shan Mountains earned a prominent place in the annual list of 52 inspiring destinations, which encompasses diverse corners of the globe—from megacities and cultural centers to natural wonders and unique landscapes.

Kyrgyzstan, nestled in the heart of Central Asia, has always been celebrated for its stunning landscapes and is considered one of the most attractive tourist countries in Asia, especially in Central Asia. Furthermore, flights to Bishkek from Brussels are cheaper compared to other destinations.

In recent years, the country has experienced a surge in adventure tourism, ecotourism, and glamping, drawing visitors from across the globe eager to explore its unique offerings, according to Travel and Tour World.

The fact that Kyrgyzstan was included among the world’s best destinations for 2026 once again confirms the country's high international tourism potential and the growing interest in its natural and cultural treasures.

The Tien Shan mountain ranges are a symbol of Kyrgyzstan and one of the most impressive natural complexes in Central Asia, recognized by The New York Times as a destination worthy of global travelers’ attention in 2026.

Furthermore, many European tourists visited Lake Issyk‑Kul last year, which was also among the top destinations in the world. Kyrgyzstan’s protected national parks—such as Ala-Archa, Sarkent State Nature Park, and Chong-Kemin Nature Park—were also popular last year and are expected to remain among the top destinations for many tourists next year.
