Minister Uraloğlu to Attend UN LLDC International Transport Conference in Turkmenistan
Uraloğlu is set to meet with Turkmenistan's deputy chairman and ministers of railway, road transport, and communications, as well as counterparts from Tajikistan and Burkina Faso, on the sidelines of the UN conference.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure ofTürkiye, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, will participate in the3rd United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC), scheduled to be held on August 5–6, 2025, in Avaza, Turkmenistan.
According to a written statement from the Ministry, Uraloğlu will hold discussions on multilateral cooperation in the fields of transport, logistics, and communication, in line with sustainable development objectives.
As part of the General Assembly session, Uraloğlu will presentTürkiye’s national statement. He is also expected to conduct bilateral meetings with several high-level Turkmen officials, including Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Çakiyew, Minister of Railway Transport Mammet Akmammedov, Minister of Road Transport Begenç Annadurdiyev, and Minister of Communications Hacımurat Hudayguliyev.
Further meetings are planned with the Transport Minister of Tajikistan and the Minister of Regional Administration and Mobility of Burkina Faso.
Uraloğlu will also carry out a technical inspection at the strategically important Türkmenbaşı Port, a key component in regional transportation networks.
The Turkish delegation, led by Uraloğlu, aims to shareTürkiye’s experience in international transport corridors, strengthen bilateral and regional partnerships, and foster regional synergy in infrastructure investments.
In the official statement, Uraloğlu emphasized thatTürkiye is prepared to contribute technical support to LLDC countries in areas such as developing logistics infrastructure, facilitating border crossings, implementing digital transport solutions, and advancing green transportation practices.
